Getting to the Venue and Parking Options

Public Transport

(Status: July 2010)

Tickets

A single ticket costs € 2.10 for zones AB (inner city area) and € 2.50 for zones BC. A ticket for zones ABC (Berlin and surroundings) costs € 2.80. All tickets must be validated before boarding and are then valid for travel on all means of public transport for two hours (bus, underground, city train, tram and regional trains). You may only travel in one direction, as return trips are not included.

A day-ticket costs € 6.10 (zones AB), € 6.30 (zones BC) or € 6.50 (zones ABC). Day-tickets are valid from the time of validation until 3:00 the next morning. All tickets must be validated before boarding.

Underground and S-Bahn (city train)

The nearest underground stations to the exhibition centre are Französische Straße (U6) and Stadtmitte (U2). The underground and (city) train station Friedrichstraße is about 7 minutes walking distance from the Russisches Haus der Wissenschaft und Kultur.

Buses

Bus 147 stops directly in Französische Straße. Bus numbers 100, 200 and TXL stop in the street Unter den Linden.

Arriving by Plane

Tegel Airport

On arrival at the airport, please proceed to the exit outside the arrival hall where the following facilities will be available:

Taxi: The journey from Tegel airport to Stadtmitte takes about 25 minutes and costs approximately € 20.00.

Bus: The JetExpress Bus TXL will take you from the airport to Französische Straße underground station in about 30 minutes; the fare is € 2.10 (a ticket for zones AB). Schönefeld Airport

Taxi: The journey from Schönefeld airport takes about 25 minutes and costs approximately € 32.00.

By public transport:
There are several options for travelling to the exhibition by public transport. In each case, the journey takes about one hour.

Regional train and underground: Take the train RE 7 or RB 14 (Airport Express) from Schönefeld station to Friedrichstraße. Change to the U6 underground line in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf and get off at Französische Straße station; the fare is € 2.80 (a ticket for zones ABC).

Bus & underground: Take bus 171 to Rudow underground station. From there, take the underground line U7 in the direction of Rathaus Spandau and get off at Mehringdamm underground station. Here, you should change to the underground line U6, in the direction of Alt-Tegel and get off at Französische Straße; the fare is € 2.80 (a ticket for zones ABC).

S-Bahn (city train): Take the S9 in the direction of Spandau and get off at Friedrichstraße station. Change to the U6 underground line in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf and get off at Französische Straße station; the fare is € 2.80 (a ticket for zones ABC).

Arriving by Train

If you are arriving by train, take the S-Bahn (city train) to Friedrichstraße station. Change to the U6 underground line in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf and get off at Französische Straße station.

Arriving by Car

Head towards Berlin-Mitte.

Coming from the South: exit the motorway at Kaiserdamm, head east on Kaiserdamm to Ernst-Reuter-Platz, proceed straight on down Straße des 17. Juni towards the Brandenburg Gate. Just before the Brandenburg Gate, turn right, then take the first left (Behrenstraße) and go straight then turn right into Friedrichstraße. The exhibition centre is on your right.

Coming from the North: take the motorway in the direction of Reinickendorf and exit at Kurt-Schumacher-Damm. Drive down the main thoroughfare Müllerstraße. This street then becomes Chausseestraße and eventually Friedrichstraße.

Parking

Please note that the exhibition centre does not offer parking facilities. Paid public parking is available in the surrounding streets between 09:00 and 20:00 on weekdays and between 09:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays (€1/h). Parking is free of charge at all other times. Tickets can be purchased from machines located in the streets.
